Shrub with a height of 1 to 5 m, erect and very branched. The young stems have glandular hairs that eventually fall off. The leaves are ovate-lanceolate, acute, rarely sub-obtuse, attenuated at the base, glossy, hairless or with a set of weak and distant hairs on the veins of the lower page, with numerous glandular scores on both pages and very aromatic. They have a dark green color on the top page and lighter green on the bottom page. The flowers are also aromatic.

Flowering: From June to October.

Habitat: Matos, hedges, moors and pine forests.
